Im trying to use Pages on gitlab.com, as follows: 1 project as my homepage on a custom domain, accessible directly under the domain i set(acorndev.cf + the www variant) then i also want to have all of my projects that support pages on a sub-URL, like this: acorndev.cf/projectname. However, i need those projects to be under a seperate repository, while one repo serves as the homepage, which is accessible at the domain root. Can i do that?

Sadly no. The specifics are hidden a bit, but here:

see the very last "Note: " block about 3/4 down the page, just above the headline “Secure you custom domain website with TLS”.

Meaning: Each custom domain (full hostname) can only point to a single project.
