I am having the exact same issue. I login to https://gitlab.com I click on one of my existing projects and I get a 500 error. If I create a new project I get the same error. I noticed this last week and it has been going on non-stop since. Just to clarify this is not a self hosted instance this is gitlab.com. Kind of an important feature to be broke, how do we fix this?
I found a work around to fix this. All of my projects belong to my companies group. Creating/viewing any of these projects triggers the error. I was able to fix it by going to the “Personal” tab within the projects view. I created a new project associated with my personal account and after this everything is working again. Weird.
When it comes to 500 errors, you should always feel free to reach out to support@gitlab.com so our experts can help out asap. @jmixon @lorenzo.battistini
