CI/CD Minutes for a Group

If I pay for a group of 1 person on the bronze plan it costs $4/mo and I get 2000 CI/CD minutes included.

If I pay for a group of 10 people on the bronze plan it costs $40/mo and I get 2000 CI/CD minutes included.

I paid for 9 seats (more to come) and was expecting to have 9x2000 CI/CD minutes.

This doesn’t feel right. If I’m paying for 9 seats, the CI/CD minutes should scale as well. This has me seriously reconsidering using GitLab. At my team scales, of course there will be more CI/CD minutes required. We’ve run out of minutes 1/2 way through the first month after paying for 9 x bronze package seats.

I feel like a linear increase in costs (1->9 seats) should equate to a linear increase in resources purchased (2000->18000 minutes).

I paid for 9 seats, now I have to pay for additional minutes as well? Is this the intended behavior?

Hey @DominicRockSolid, welcome to the forum!

The amount of pipeline minutes allowed for a group on GitLab.com does not scale with the number of users in the group, you’re correct. As you also pointed out we do allow the purchase of additional minute packs through the GitLab Customer Portal. Outside of that, you’ll want to possibly consider choosing Silver instead for 10,000 minutes per group per month.
