Did I just lose my gitlab account?

Can’t login without authenticator (new phone)

I have a new phone, I didn’t use gitlab personal account for more than 1.5 years now and
even though I can reset my password, I don’t have either the authenticator app, nor the recovery codes. (I can also login with ouath but it still asks for auth code…)

Is my old gitlab account gone?

As per all the hundreds of posts already on this forum regarding 2FA, Gitlab don’t reset 2FA anymore. You can generate new recovery codes if you have an SSH key uploaded to your account, see the docs here on how to do that: Troubleshooting two-factor authentication | GitLab

If you don’t have an SSH key uploaded to your account to be able to regenerate 2FA codes, then you no longer have access to your account.
