GitLab Web IDE is loading infinitely

Hello GitLab Community,

We are encountering an issue with the Web IDE in our GitLab Enterprise Edition (self-managed) instance. When selecting the Edit > Open in Web IDE option in any project, a new browser tab opens but fails to load the Web IDE properly. Instead, the page seems to enter an infinite redirection loop, cycling back and forth between various GitLab pages.

This behaviour persists across multiple projects and browsers. We’ve verified that other GitLab features are functioning as expected.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue, or are there any recommended troubleshooting steps for this problem?

I’m using Gitlab EE 17.7.0 and when I try to edit in web IDE it just 404’s on me.

I don’t use the web IDE so it doesn’t bother me if it works or not. But if you need it, the best way would be open an issue on the link above.
