How to change jira ticket status by using gitlab commits and merge requests

Hi,

I am trying to commit / merge request to GitLab but it will not change ticket status in Jira.

Yes, I have tried the same instructions on https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/project/integrations/jira.html? , But still, it’s not getting updated on Jira’s side.
I am sending a commit in the Jira’s side below the screenshot.

Does the account you use in GitLab habe the permission to resolve an issue? Often it needs the role developer to do so.
