is there any possibility to import bare repositories?
There are no .git folder in the reps. So how to import them into a gitlab project or to create a new one with using the bare rep?
The page https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/raketasks/import.html does not work since the “foo.git” mentioned in the middle is not a bare rep I am afraid.

Have you run into a specific issue in running the prescribed steps on the import bare repositories page?

no I have gone another way:
In Source Tree using the GitLab Project URL as Remote and then pushing - thats it
