OS: CentOS 7.9
GitLab version : gitlab-ee-16.11.2-ee.0.el7.x86_64
GitLab Runner : gitlab-runner-16.11.1-1.x86_64
I have a production server with the above configuration. As CentOS7 has reached end of life, we are in the plan of upgrading CentOS 7 to Rocky 9 on this server where GitLab is running.
We followed Elevate’s upgrade instructions (ELevate Quickstart Guide | AlmaLinux Wiki) to upgrade to Rocky 9. After the upgrade, we noticed that GitLab had been removed from the server, but the GitLab configuration files still existed. We tried to install GitLab in the same version for El9 but found it not starting after the installation.
Could someone share some knowledge on how to upgrade the CentOS7 to Rocky 9 in a Gitlab-hosted server?
