Service Desk email after moving not responding to original creator


I’m having trouble with service desk issues and replying to original email after moving it to a different project.

My gitlab version is 14.4.2

Exactly as described here: After moving Service Desk issue, email comes in at original (closed) issue (#11391) · Issues · / GitLab · GitLab

  1. Customer creates service desk issue via email
  2. Move it to a different project
  3. Reply to moved issue
  4. Original customer no longer receives emails.

Any Ideas?
Is this a bug?
