I am unable to purchase CI minutes
- Seeing error: Subscription not allowed to add CI Minutes
Steps to reproduce
I have previously done this through the Customer Portal. However we have now signed up through Google Cloud and there is no provision in GC to purchase CI minutes. Meanwhile our dev team is stopped cold . Any help is appreciated.
My problem is now resolved. In case anyone runs into this in the future, here are the helpful instructions I received from GitLab support:
According to the error message you shared and, it appears you are unable to purchase the CI minutes because the Customers Portal account you are using to purchase the minutes is associated to a subscription that was purchased via GCP which are not able to be amended by purchasing directly in GitLab or Customers Portal. - To make any further purchases, you would need to work with a GitLab sales representative by sending an email to smallbusiness@gitlab.com to request further assistance in making the purchase.
- Alternatively, the easiest way forward would be to request another owner of the group who does not currently have access to the SaaS Premium subscription in Customers Portal to make the purchase. This will create a new billing account and a new CI minutes only subscription.
