Locked out, now what?

Dear all,
I lost my 2FA for gitlab.com long ago, but still have the ssh access on my computer.

I followed the procedure on the support page to generate new recovery codes Two-factor authentication | GitLab
But unfortunately the last step fails:

Go to the GitLab sign-in page and enter your username or email, and password. When prompted for a two-factor code, enter one of the recovery codes obtained from the command-line output.

Invalid two-factor code.

Then I get an email to the email address I’m trying to log in to with the following:

GitLab detected an attempt to sign in to your gitlab.com account using an incorrect verification code

A
m I trying to log in with a wrong user? I do not have an ~/.ssh/authorization_keys file ion my computer.

Hi,

I’d suggest you to open a ticket directly at GitLab Support: https://support.gitlab.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000803379

Best of luck!
