Potentially conflicting personal account and billing/application email address

Hi GitLab Education support forum,

I have a personal account on GitLab.com and our Institue just got the privilege to be accepted in the education program.

I applied for the education program with my organisation email address but my personal account uses my personal email address.

@chupy: can I go on using my personal email and former account address or should I close my personal account and open a new one ?

Hi Mahdi! Thanks for the question. Unfortunately at this time, we need you to use your institutional email. The ability to link accounts with the different emails is on our radar though as a feature.

You can definitely keep your personal account though.
