I’m the owner of a private project. It has members that I joined and members that a colleague with permissions joined to the project.
But I can’t delete a member that my colleague created. He’s away so this is a problem.
I stress I am the owner of the project.
The members joined by my colleague are all greyed out on the project members page so I can’t change them
Is this a bug? Is there a workaround?

Since we are community members, we cannot help you with account issues. You would have to contact gitlab directly: Submit a request – GitLab, Inc.
If you are a free user, then you will have to wait patiently. Official support is normally for users that have paid Gitlab subscriptions.
