Service desk notification when issue is closed

Hi there,
I’m running Gitlab CE 13.6.3 and activated the service-desk feature, which is a really nice addition!
One thing I found irritating though, is that the person that started an issue is not notified if same issue gets closed. Is that wanted behaviour?

I’m running gitlab.com online free version and I’m testing Service Desk as a ticketing system for my customers.
My test-customer receives only the “thank_you” message, but nothing more:
nothing when I add a comment to the issue, nothing when I close the issue.
I do not understand if there is a bug or maybe I am missing some configuration.
