A bit of a touchy topic

This may not be a very popular post, but I think it’s important for overall outreach.

I don’t mean to sound like I’m calling gitlab out at all, I really believe it’s a wonderful organization. But you guys need to change the picture on this page: Join GitLab | GitLab

the picture of your employees in the blue shirts with their arms up… i mean come on y’all. a group of majority white people with one arm up is NOT a good look. I obviously am not implying anything about any of Gitlab’s employees or internal culture, this picture is just… really not great.

not sure if i really need to expand on why… but i suppose if anyone is confused they can ask me what I mean lol

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, @rreptarr .

I’ve raised awareness of this internally and there was agreement that we should revisit and update the photography on this page. We’re planning to revamp and update this page this quarter, and we will opt for photos that better represent our company values including DIB (Diversity, Inclusion, & Belonging).

Glad to hear it!

offended much? geesh get over yourself. If my white skin offends you, you should check your racist tendencies. If you need a stock image of a diverse set of people everywhere you go…then you’re the problem.
