Lost account and 2FA codes

Hello GitLab administrators,

I’m recovering my account and saw that is protected with 2FA, but I don’t have such codes. How can I recover my account?

Is your account on GitLab.com or are you a user on a self-managed instance of GitLab? If the former, please submit a support ticket so that we can assist you. If the latter, you’ll need to get in contact with an administrator of your instance so that they can disable 2FA for you.

I’m on free plan. I lost my 2FA device and backup codes, I would like to permanently close my account as don’t want an unused account to hanging out there in case of any data breaches. So, I request you to guide me to close my account permanently.
