Lost Phone, lost backup codes?

Is my account gone forever?

Hello,
There is always a second option available, check the account login page once again.

How is that gonna help me?
I can’t even get support from gitlab b/c I am not a paid user.

@terrible if you uploaded an SSH key to your account, you can reset your 2fa recovery codes as per the docs: Two-factor authentication | GitLab

Otherwise you can submit a support request and maybe you will be lucky to get a reply as a free user to gain access to your account again: https://support.gitlab.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000803379

I use Gitkraken which is still logged into my Gitlab account. I can even still push things (at least I don’t get an error when I try)

I tried the ssh method to get new backup codes but keep getting
git@gitlab.com: Permission denied (publickey,keyboard-interactive). error

That SSH error means you didn’t upload an SSH key to your account before the issues occurred with the password. That means you will not be able to use that method to gain access to your account. You will need to open a support request with the link above that I gave earlier.

Unfortunately, as community forum members we have no ability to reset your account for you as we are not from Gitlab Support, nor Gitlab Admins.
